What can I get with Adult Medicaid coverage?
Adult Medicaid is a public health insurance program that provides comprehensive health care coverage at no cost.
Am I eligible to get Adult Medicaid coverage?
To be eligible for Medicaid in Illinois, you MUST:
- Be 19 years old or older
- Be a U.S. citizen or on the path to citizenship*
- Have a certain yearly household income
- Have a physical mailing address in Illinois (cannot be a P.O. box)
*Note: In Illinois, if you’re 42 years old or older, you do NOT have to be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for Medicaid. Your only requirement is to have a certain yearly household income.
What can I get with Medicaid coverage?
With Medicaid coverage, you can get:
- Birth control at no cost to you
- Health care visits at no cost to you
- Prescriptions at no cost to you
How do I know if I have Medicaid coverage right now?
If you have one of the following health care coverage plans, you already have Medicaid coverage:
- Aetna Better Health
- Blue Cross Community Health
- CountyCare
- Humana MMAI
- Meridian
- Molina
