Abbigail Shirk, JD, MPA

As State Policy Director, Abbi leads state teams in advancing advance and implementing innovative policies that expand contraceptive care quality and access. She brings a decade of nonprofit experience spanning legal aid, community services, and policy advocacy. Most recently, she worked on voter protection for the Harris-Walz campaign. Prior to joining ICAN!, Abbi served as a supervising attorney at MetroWest Legal Services, specializing in intimate partner violence and family law. She has worked in non-profit organizations for ten years in a range of disciplines including community services and legal aid. She received her Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and her Juris Doctorate from New England Law | Boston.
